The Ultimate Unwind

After a full day of balancing roles — founder, wife, daughter, friend, and creative spirit — I find immense comfort in a small, intentional ritual that allows me to reconnect with myself. While some unwind with a workout or a favorite show, I’ve come to cherish the quiet moments that bring a sense of calm and a hint of luxury to my evenings.

1. Take it all off — gently

Before anything else, I take off my jewelry. I do it slowly, piece by piece, like I’m saying thank you. These aren’t just accessories; they’ve held space for me all day. Whether it was my everyday hoops or a gemstone ring that added a little boldness to a quiet outfit, each piece gets a moment.

2. Cleanse & Reset

As I wash my face and get into my nighttime skincare routine, I take a minute to clean any jewelry I wore that day, especially rings and studs that touch skin. A gentle wipe with a soft cloth does wonders, and it’s my way of giving back to the pieces that show up for me, day after day.

It’s also a little moment of mindfulness. Just me, warm lighting, clean skin, and gold that still shines.

3. Slip into Comfort

After a long shower and skincare reset, comfort becomes the priority. I always reach for my softest, coziest pajamas — usually a well-loved set that instantly makes me feel at ease. There’s something powerful about dressing for rest, especially after a day of showing up in every role you hold.

This is the moment where the world quiets down, and I finally feel like I’ve made space for me.

4. Tea, but Make it Luxe

Chamomile or rose tea in a pretty mug (yes, I have a favorite one) is non-negotiable. Sometimes I add a drizzle of honey, light a candle, and scroll through gemstone inspiration on Pinterest or new messages from my karighars in Karachi. It’s the small rituals, right?

5. Dream in Design

Right before bed, I let my mind wander into design mode. I keep a sketchpad on my nightstand — not for work, but for play. Loose ideas. Shapes. Gems. Sometimes, the best pieces begin as late-night scribbles. Sometimes, nothing happens at all — and that’s okay too. Creativity and calm can coexist.

Why it Matters

The real point of going through this list is to really just spend some time by myself. There is a lot of peace that comes from being alone, where you don’t have to stress about what needs to be done or said. It’s just a way to recalibrate your center, so you’re ready to take on the week ahead without feeling off-balance.
